Best Prices on Bionicle Creature and Good Service

Toys 123

Eli saved up his money and wanted to buy some new Bionicles (Lego building creature toys). He and his brother, Caleb, like me to price check online, so they get the best deal for the money. Almost always, they come out better online shopping for toys than buying locally. Since I’ve been doing this for the guys for several years, I generally recognize the stores that pop up. We always get Toys R Us through Amazon and a few others.

In the case of the Bionicles, Eli had very specific creature names to run. When I goggled by creature names, there were only a few places selling the real current items. One of those was Toys 123. I checked the prices with the different spots and also ran some of the price compare engines. Though Amazon had good prices (about $3 less per high dollar Bionicle item than at our mall), they do charge shipping on toys which meant that the price was better at Toys 123 with the FREE shipping with a $30 order.

One single Bionicle did not hit the $30 mark, so Eli saved an extra week to round up to the amount he needed to buy one high and one mid priced item. That put him over $30 and with free shipping.

I ordered on a Saturday, and Eli checked the mail the next morning on Sunday to see if his toys had arrived. Now, we all know that mail does not come on Sunday (and he knows that). Since he rushed home from school every day to check and even checked on Sundays (just in case), I can tell you that it takes a week and a half here to get the toys. If you do want to pay for shipping, then you get them faster. This is the typical time I’ve found with other sites offering free ship, so I was not surprised. I was fine with the mail time, but Eli was very antsy with that.

It was really easy to use Toys 123. We went in with the toy on google, and Eli ran other names that he wanted in search. He also put in Bionicle and got a good list with some on sale during his shopping visit.

We put the toy he had his heart set on in the cart while he looked and considered others. When we went offline, the cart cleared. I like sites to keep my items in the cart for a few days at least especially when they have a dollar amount for free shipping. It wasn’t a big deal with only one toy, but if you work on a big order, go off, and come back and everything is gone, then that really is irritating.

Toys 123 sent a confirmation on the order, and they sent an email saying they had shipping the toys. It was Tuesday (4 days after the order) when they confirmed shipping. Again, I was fine with that, but Eli was impatient. Children may want to pay more and go to the mall or order with quick ship. Then again, the waiting can be part of the fun, and they have more money to buy other stuff when they get the best deals.

The toys arrived in a big box with nice air bags packed around the Bionicles. I’m glad they pack carefully (especially when the shipping is free), because my kid would have been really upset if the toys had been damaged after he checked every day and talked with his buddies about these great toys that were coming.

I was completely satisfied with Toys 123. I appreciate the great prices and that they packed carefully. Eli was very happy and began building his Bionicles as soon as he got the box. He was a little miffed with the week and a half ship time.

The only thing I would mention to potential shoppers is that this is not a big toy store with everything you could ever think of. In fact, they have a rather limited inventory and most seem in Eli’s age range (older elementary) and many for boys. I thought I’d include the toys they have in stock right now, so that will save some looking for those who are not interested in what they carry.

Here is the list:

Air Hogs (3)

Bratz (3)
Cranium (11)
Crayola (4)
Hoberman (1)
HogWild (27)
LeapPad (1)
