Computer Gear is a wonderful place to shop for all the family computer geeks. Among all the other gadgets are some really neat t-shirts. I bought a blue shirt showing a repeating Windows error. There was even a shirt with a circuit board all over the front and back that looked neat too.
The trick at Computer Gear is escaping without the impulse buy. After adding the shirt to my cart, I bought some funny computer key button covers with funny things written and a notepad made of recycled 3.5 discs for the covers.
The items came fast via the USPS. They were bagged in clear plastic, so I could check them out before wrapping. All were very nice quality and cute — just like pictured online.
Computer Gear sent a catalog with the order. There are more items in the catalog then on the website, but you’ll want to check both places since the site has more closeouts with deep discount prices.
Some of the other neat things from Computer Gear that I really liked include the key buttons with a love theme (would be nice for Valentine’s Day), animal figures that lay on top of the computer, a little mini vacuum for the keyboard (Where does all that dust come from?), and a game chair that hooks to the computer and does all kinds of neat things with motion and sound. The chair is expensive, but it folds up to take anywhere, and it looks really fun.
Shoppers get a free PANIC button for the computer from the catalog. The button also sells for $2. Again, in a strange separation, the PANIC button wasn’t available on the website.
I know I can find some of the geek gifts at various places, but this store has a good selection all in one space. The prices are reasonable — not cheap but not over the top. First class or expedited shipping is also available.
Computer Gear also has real easy-to-find phone numbers and emails. I didn’t need to call them, but the contact information left a friendly feeling.
