Overjoyed with Overstock

Having moved into a bigger place I was blessed with an extra bedroom but the burden of decorating it.

I had heard only good things about Overstock (a friend of mine is even getting her engagement ring there) and decided to check there for some bedding.

The Site

Overstock is red, white and for people who are ready to shop.

The homepage greets you with the biggest deals happening that day.

There is so much available on Overstock that’s it’s a good idea to arrive with an idea of what you’re shopping for. Otherwise you could spend your entire day (and bank account) raking up and ordering deals.

The shopping

Choose what you’re looking for from a list of categories up top and start shopping.
I went straight for bedding and since I was on budget I searched by price range, lowest to highest.

Immediately I found what I was looking for. A neutral color with a little something extra, the middle of the comforter has some weaving. I had to triple check the offer because it was almost too good to be true. A queen size comforter, two pillow shams and a bed skirt for $29.99.

To top it off shipping was free because it happened to be the Christmas season.

Logging on today I noticed a banner on top of the site advertising $2.95 shipping daily, so even when it’s not the holiday, shipping is cheap.

The sale

Check out was super easy. I opted out of registering because I knew with my track record that’d make it too easy for me to become a daily shopper but that’s a good option for folks with self-control.

I paid by Visa and was sent a confirmation e-mail immediately and another one when the item shipped that included a tracking number.

A slight warning: giving Overstock an e-mail you see daily isn’t a good idea, again, if you love to shop. They send out tempting deals and offers almost daily.

I had the bedding set sent to the local UPS pick up since I am never home. It was there in a week as promised.

I got it home, opened it and my thrill continued. It was even better than I could have asked for, especially for the price.

The story

I will most definitely go back to Overstock. I am so far in love with the experience.

I can’t wait to see my friend’s engagement ring and find out what kind of a deal her man ended up getting.
