If you scan through my reviews, you will notice that I write a lot of reviews about online lingerie stores. It’s not that I have a fetish for lingerie (much) as much as it is that I love to explore new sites and try new things and I do admittedly love lingerie and club wear. Sometimes, I will shop just once at a site and never go back, other times I will become hooked and shop there often.

Spicy Lingerie is a site I found when looking for something to wear to a rather wild event. I usually stay at home these days rather than go out, but every once in a while, my job calls for a little club wear. I got that at Spicy Lingerie and discovered these guys are good on just about every level.

What This Site Sells

This site sells a wide assortment of spicy lingerie (hence the name), as well as leather, club wear, wickedly decadent shoes and boots (that aren’t made for walking!), pretty and sexy sleepwear, hosiery, accessories, costumes, and more. There are some men’s items on this site as well but not a large amount.

Variety

Lots and lots of naughty and some nice things are on this site. The lingerie ranges from tame to chain mail and leather and the club wear ranges from a little daring to “Who would wear that out?” things. For the record, I bought an outfit that wouldn’t put my kids to shame so I guess I went with the tamer side of wild on this site.

Navigation

The home page has a bunch of sexy women in sexy, no, spicy lingerie and their current sales (This week it’s on very high heeled shoes and boots as well as teddies and other one piece items). Along the right side are all the categories of items you can check out and across the top are all the pertinent links you need to find out about shipping, returns, sizing, contact info, and a search button so you can hone your search to a certain item or style. I like how they set up the home page. You don’t need to go crazy looking for important links. They are all very prominently displayed at the top.

Click on a category and you will get medium sized photos with the name of the item and the price. Sometimes a link will take you to subcategories (Hosiery has three different categories within it) and those photos are smaller. You click on the subcategory and you will see all the offerings.

If you see something you like, click the link and you’ll see a big, clear photo with a full description of the item. The size chart makes it easy to pick your size and the price is prominently displayed. You can click on the photo for an even larger photo to check out details. Once you find what you like, pick your size (and color preference if needed) and add it to your cart.

You will see the contents of your shopping cart with each new entry. Oh, you don’t have to worry about shipping. It’s free for ALL ORDERS. I love that! Nothing sways me more than free shipping. You can opt for faster shipping for a fee.

Once you have finished shopping, you will fill out the usual information and give a major credit card. You will get a confirmation on the screen and in email. Once the order is sent out, you will receive another email.

Your package will arrive minus any signs of what’s inside. It is packaged super discreetly and makes no mention of lingerie or the name of the site. I personally don’t care about that but some may and I think it’s a thoughtful thing to do.

Navigation is easy and, even with all the photos, the site loads quickly and seamlessly.

My Experience

I wanted something kind of sexy, something different but not sleazy or crazy since I am an old bat now. I searched the club wear and found an awesome black stretch dress that just looked like it wanted to be in my closet. The price was shockingly low. I was afraid it would be flimsy or low quality but I took a chance since they do have a good return policy. The dress was only $32.00 and I picked up some 8″ platform shoes too. Just kidding. I got some fishnets to go with the dress. Over 3 ½” and you’d have to roll me to the party.

I completed my order quickly and was charged the next day. I got a letter informing me that my order was going out and, about four or five days later, it was here, all discreet and looking like it could be office supplies or something.

Inside were my items plus a free gift! I got a satin blindfold. Hmm…maybe that was for my husband so he didn’t see what I looked like when I came walking out with that outfit on. Every order receives a free gift.

The dress fit great (but was missing a few inches in length, yeow) and I really liked the quality. While it wasn’t designer quality by any means, it was fine for the one night I was going to wear it. I haven’t worn it since but maybe I will if I ever get out of the T-shirt and jeans phase I am going through at the moment.

I have since shopped there again, buying, well, something else and all went just as smoothly.

I had no need for customer service so I can’t comment on that aspect of the site although I did email them with a question before my second order and got a prompt, polite reply the next day.

Shipping and Returns

Shipping on any size order is FREE. You can choose to upgrade to two day or faster shipping for a fee.

You can return most items within 30 days. Costumes can only be exchanged for size not returned for a refund. Some items cannot be returned due to health reasons.

Lingerie and clothing can be returned in unworn, unused condition with no restocking fee for a full refund.

You can also exchange items within the 30 days with the exception of the certain things that cannot be sent back (panties, thongs, and the like).

There is a 15% restocking fee for returns of shoes and boots but you can exchange them for size with no fee.

This is one of the best return/exchange policies I have seen on a smaller (non-chain) lingerie/club wear site. Generally exchanges are out and restocking fees are in.

Conclusion

This site is not for everyone. But for those looking for something spicy, this is a great place to start. The items range from just a bit wild to over the top, and the variety is large. Prices are excellent for most items, even shoes. Free shipping and a free gift with every order is a major plus as is a good, solid return and exchange policy.

If you like the type of things this site sells, you will find that you can save a bundle over other similar sites. I am constantly amazed at how reasonable everything is. There are lots of fun things for brides to be, men who you want to “spice up” or for those looking for something a little different in lingerie or club wear. The costumes are really fun and reasonable so, if you have a costume party coming up, check this site. There are all sorts of costumes for men and women and not all are racy or even sexy in the slightest.

Add all that to the fact that they deliver discreetly and quickly and I just can’t really find fault with this site. I gotta go with 5 stars. Like I said, you may never have a need or desire to check it out but, for those who do want what they offer, it doesn’t get much better than this for reasonable prices and variety.
