I am not romantic by nature. I would rather have something practical than something expensive but impractical as a gift. However, when my 20th wedding anniversary arrived last December, I got a very special gift from my husband as well as the go ahead to pick out one of those "flower rings" I like so much. What my husband meant was "Poesy Ring" which is a special type of replica ring. I protested some because the gift he had already given me was expensive and impractical but I know when to stop fighting and give in so I stopped protesting (in about three minutes) and went looking for the most special Poesy ring I could find.
I went to me2u because I fell in love with these rings while on vacation a few years ago and was told by the woman I bothered that she got hers on that site and she had done a lot of research and they were the best.
The name wasn’t hard to forget and, when my time came, I went straight to the site without doing a massive search.
What is a Poesy Ring?

What the Site Sells
The site sells mostly Poesy rings of different varieties with many sayings as well as other unique romantic rings and some romantic pendants and bracelets.
Navigation
The site is simple especially when you consider the prices of these rings. You can click on the links down the left side which will take you to Rings, Pendants, or Bracelets. You can also do a search or choose item suggestions from a drop down box that gives you suggestions for events or sentiments. Once you see something you like, you click for details. I found the site to be somewhat confusing when I got to the actual product page. There are so many options and prices that I was a bit overwhelmed at first. After checking out a few rings, though, I got used to the design.
If you want to buy an item, you pick the size you want and the metal (14K gold, 18K gold, Platinum, or Sterling Silver). Prices are very clearly stated. Add the item to your cart.
Once you’re done shopping, you go to check out. You then fill out the usual info and choose a payment method. This site accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Checks, and Money Orders. You can complete your order via phone if you are concerned with security. You must mail your check or money order to them with a copy of your order if you chose those methods of payment.
Tax is only charged in MA.
Most rings ship free and you will know by the description. I didn’t see any that didn’t ship free.
Items that do not ship free will have their shipping costs clearly marked.
You can opt for faster than standard shipping for an additional fee.
If you choose to complete your order online, you will give your credit card details and expiry and will get an order number and an email. You will get a letter when the order ships with tracking.
Because Poesy rings are made to order times vary as far as how long your item will take to arrive. Each item on the site has a timeframe of when it should be shipped ranging from just a few days to three to four weeks.
My Experience
I knew I wanted a Poesy ring but wasn’t sure what style and engraving I wanted. I about had a heart attack when I saw the prices of the rings in the better metals. This is NOT a cheap or inexpensive site by any means. The Sterling is affordable but the gold and platinum is pricey. I was going to get Sterling but my husband insisted I get gold. What could I say? A wife must do what her husband wants, right? Heh.
I fell in love with a ring with engraving that translates to "I Love and I Hope!" from the French phrase "J’Aime et J’Espere". My husband is of French heritage and I have heard that phrase here and there when around his family so it made sense to me plus I just really liked the style and the saying. It wasn’t TOO sappy yet still had a nice sentiment.
I really hated to see my husband drop $380.00 on a 14K gold ring when the silver was only $55.00 but this was something he honestly felt strongly about. I closed my eyes and clicked on the gold box and put my order through.
I was not too worried that I would be disappointed in the quality as, since I accosted the woman I mentioned above on vacation and asked where she got her ring, I have talked to a few others who have rings from this site and they all highly recommended it. They also have a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
I was told on the site that the ring would take three to four weeks to arrive or I could get it in two weeks for $30.00 more. I chose the standard shipping.
I had no problems with checkout and I got an order number right away. I got an email when the ring shipped and it arrived a couple of days after that.
It took about 26 days from the day I ordered the ring to get it. It arrived in a simple box but inside was a really nice ring box with a little booklet telling the story of Poesy rings and my ring in particular.
My ring fit perfectly and looks awesome. I get a lot of compliments on it and people do notice it is very different from the usual rings. However, the price still seems high to me and, if I had it to do over, I would probably look around to be sure I wasn’t paying a lot more than I needed to for the same quality. However, as far as quality goes, this ring is one of my best (and I have plenty that are more expensive but am too afraid to wear them for fear of losing them!).
This is a unique and romantic ring and I really love it. I won’t be collecting these rings in gold but I may buy another in Sterling Silver with a different engraving.
Shipping and Returns
Shipping for most items is free. You can opt for faster shipping for a fee. Some items have a shipping fee but it is minimal. You will see your shipping costs on the check out page before you give any personal info. Some items ship very quickly but others take three to four weeks to arrive because they are individually crafted. So know if you are going to order a Poesy ring from me2u.com, do it well in advance of when you need it.
They guarantee the quality of their items and defective items can be exchanged at no additional cost or returned for a full refund.
Rings can also be resized, exchanged, or returned (in new condition), although fees are applied to cover the cost of cleaning, resizing, shipping, etc.
You do have to contact the site to let them know of a problem and they will issue an RMA before you return it.

Conclusion
This site is very much a niche site. It is for the hopeless romantic (which I am not so I suppose it isn’t exclusively for them) and it is high quality. It has romantic Poesy rings which are unique and well crafted as well as other engraved items. This is a great site for men to check out for Valentine’s Day or an anniversary. The Sterling Silver options are reasonable. The gold and platinum are anything but.
The site is simple to navigate and has a lot of info on the items. They also encourage phone calls and emails with questions before purchasing.
I really like my ring but I still feel the price was inflated despite the quality. I am scared I will lose it but it fits perfectly so I wear it often. I have too many expensive pieces of jewelry sitting in my jewelry box never being worn because I am afraid they will get lost. I wear this ring for casual and formal wear and it makes me feel good and it makes a statement.
This site has a great variety of Poesy rings as well as some other engraved items, included personalized wedding bands.
I had no issues at all with the site and I recommend it. It’s 4 stars worth of good stuff. I would go with 5 stars but I think the prices are a bit higher than they need to be although you will find that, one you get your item, you’ll be happy you spent the money on it.
