Crazy Mom Deals

I stumbled upon Crazy Mom Deals via a link from Woot! when I was checking their daily deal. This site is similar to Woot! in that it sells just one item per 24 hour period or until the item sells out. The difference is, the items are for women — purses, jewelry, cosmetics, accessories and the like.

It’s a fun site to check out but many deals aren’t all that great.

What the Site Sells

This site sells one item or "deal" per day. That could be a pair of earrings, a purse, or any one of a number of things that "crazy moms" would like to pamper themselves with. There are a few side deal links but essentially, you will find one item per day on the site.

Navigation and Ordering

There isn’t much to navigating. The front page shows the current deal and pricing. There are links to the Crazy Moms’ blog, Mom Squad reviews of the current and past items sold, and the idea behind the site. There are no forums or message boards to discuss the deal like on other one day deal sites.

If you want the product, click to buy it. I don’t see anywhere where there is a limit as to how many deals you can buy. The shipping is a flat $5.00 in the US regardless of how many deals you buy.

Once you click to buy, adjust the quantity and go to the checkout. The site accepts all major credit cards as well as paypal. There is no tax (at least for me) and checkout is fast and easy.

You can sign up to get notifications of new products being sold but I signed up twice and never got an email from the site so I just look at the site when I remember to.

The deals range from ehhh to pretty good. I bought a nice set of purse holders (They sit on a table or other area and hold your purse so you don’t have to set it on the floor or hang it over your chair.) for a better price than I could find elsewhere on the net even with shipping. Other deals are really very average.

You will get a confirmation email and a shipping one. Items arrive in around a week or so, simply packed.

My Experience

I just happened upon the site and liked what they were selling. I did a price comparison and Crazy Mom Deals had the best price even with shipping so I ordered a set of purse holders.

I used paypal which went through fine. I received a paypal receipt as well as a confirmation email from the site. I received an email a day or two later saying my order was on its way to me.

I received the order about a week later, very simply packed, via USPS. The items were as described and I was satisfied with the transaction.

Shipping and Returns

Shipping is a flat $5.00 for as many items as you want in the US. They ship via USPS, UPS, and Fed-Ex — whichever is the cheapest for the item(s) you are buying.

They do not accept returns unless the item is defective and, if it is, you are responsible for shipping the product back. That kind of stinks.

They do NOT publish a phone number and ask that you email them with any questions. I am not fond of sites that don’t have a phone number to call for issues.

Conclusion

Crazy Mom Deals is a fun site for women to find deals or gifts. Deals range from decent to very good depending on the day and all looks to be fine as far as reliability and trustworthiness.

Descriptions give plenty of info to make a buying decision and the flat shipping fee never surprises. I was not charged tax which is always a plus. I believe those in Arizona will be because the site is run from that state.

Although I had a good experience on the site, I am leery of not having a phone number to call and of having to eat the shipping back to them if an item is defective. Small items aren’t a big deal but heavier ones would tick me off to send back if it wasn’t any error on my part.

This site is run by a couple of moms in Arizona and helped out by some others as well as several women across the country who test the products and "review" them before they are sold. It’s a small operation and it shows by the way the site looks, the return policy, and lack of phone number.

Still, I got what I wanted and everything went fine. I give the site 3 stars. It’s a nice novelty but not a real gem of a site. I recommend it to you though. You may find just what you were looking for at a decent price!
